Clinical depth matters

A licensed therapist, not just a facilitator

Not all psilocybin facilitators in Colorado are required to have clinical training. I am a licensed professional counselor with a PhD in counselor education and over a decade of clinical experience. That difference matters.

Psilocybin can surface difficult material — grief, trauma, deeply held beliefs about yourself. Having a skilled therapist present means you have someone trained to help you work with what arises, not just bear witness to it. My preparation sessions build real internal resources. My presence during the experience is steady and therapeutically informed. My integration sessions help you translate what emerged into genuine, lasting change.

The medicine opens a door. The clinical work is what makes the change last.

Who I Work With

Psilocybin facilitation for women at significant thresholds

I specialize in working with women navigating major life transitions and hormonal shifts — experiences where psilocybin's capacity for perspective shift, identity exploration, and meaning-making is particularly powerful.

Perimenopause & Menopause

When hormonal transition becomes an identity crisis, psilocybin can offer a genuine shift in perspective — reducing the depression, anxiety, and rigid self-concepts that make this transition harder than it needs to be.

Grief & Loss

Whether grief comes from death, relationship loss, infertility, or the loss of a former self — psilocybin has a well-documented capacity to help people move through complicated grief and find new meaning.

Identity & Life Transitions

Empty nesting, retirement, major career or relationship change, the question of "what do I want the rest of my life to look like?" — these are exactly the kinds of questions psilocybin work is built for.

Many of my clients have little or no experience with psychedelics and are looking for a safe, supported, evidence-based introduction to this work. You do not need prior psychedelic experience. You need good preparation and a skilled clinician. That's what I provide.

The Process

What a course of treatment includes

Each course of psilocybin facilitation is structured, clinically grounded, and designed to make the most of what psilocybin has to offer. Safety and your autonomy are built into every stage.

Sessions 1–2

Preparation

Two preparation sessions (telehealth available) to set clear intentions, build internal resources, address concerns, and understand what to expect. We also conduct a thorough screening to ensure psilocybin is appropriate for you.

Session 3

A full-day in-person session at Numia Healing Center in Denver — a licensed, supervised healing center. I am present with you throughout the entire experience. You are safe, supported, and never alone.

Session 3 · The Medicine Day

What the medicine session actually looks like

The medicine administration session is a full day — typically six to eight hours. You arrive at Numia Healing Center in Denver, take the psilocybin in a safe, comfortable room, and rest. Eyeshades and music are provided. You are lying down for most of the experience.

I am with you the entire time. My role is not to guide or direct — it is to hold steady, safe presence so you can follow the experience wherever it goes. If something difficult arises, I am there. If you need grounding, I am there. You are never alone.

The experience itself is internal — the room is simply the container that makes it possible to go deep. What happens inside that container is yours.

The Science

How psilocybin-assisted therapy works

Understanding the mechanism helps you approach the experience with informed intention.

The biological mechanism

Psilocybin works primarily by binding to serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, promoting neuroplasticity — increasing connectivity between brain regions that don't typically communicate. This allows the brain to form new patterns and break free from rigid loops associated with depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Research also suggests psilocybin temporarily quiets the default mode network — the brain network responsible for our sense of self, rumination, and repetitive thinking. This creates genuine space to step outside the mental loops that keep us stuck.

The experiential dimension

At therapeutic doses, psilocybin can shift perception in ways that allow you to see yourself, your relationships, and your life from a fundamentally different vantage point. Psychological defenses soften. The mind surfaces what most needs attention — through imagery, emotion, memory, or direct insight.

This combination of biological and experiential change is why psilocybin-assisted therapy is so promising — especially for women navigating the identity and meaning dimensions of major life transitions.

"Psilocybin is not a cure on its own — it's a tool that can facilitate and accelerate meaningful psychological change. The medicine opens a door; the work of preparation and integration is what makes the change last."

Colorado Natural Medicine Program

Yes. Colorado voters passed Proposition 122 in November 2022, creating a regulated framework for the therapeutic use of natural medicines including psilocybin. The state licenses facilitators, healing centers, and the cultivation and testing of psilocybin products.

This is not recreational legalization. Colorado's program is structured around supervised, therapeutic use. Sessions take place at licensed healing centers with trained, state-licensed facilitators. There are no dispensaries and no take-home products. Every step — from screening to preparation to administration to integration — is designed to prioritize safety and therapeutic benefit.

I hold Colorado Natural Medicine Facilitator License No. NMIT.0000254, issued by the Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations. I also serve as Director of Fluence Training's natural medicine program in Colorado and receive ongoing consultation at Numia Healing Center.

FAQ

Your questions, answered honestly

How much does psilocybin facilitation cost?
A full course of facilitation — two preparation sessions, a full-day medicine session, and two integration sessions — starts at $3,500. This includes access to the licensed healing center. I do not take insurance for facilitation services. I hope to offer more flexible rates when New Mexico facilitation becomes available in January 2027.
I do not take insurance or offer out-of-network benefits for psilocybin facilitation services. Integration services can be submitted as out-of-network treatment if you choose to continue working with me beyond the scope of natural medicine facilitation.
No. Many of my clients have little or no prior experience with psychedelics. The preparation sessions are specifically designed to build the internal resources and understanding you need to approach the experience safely and with intention. What matters is not prior experience — it is good preparation and a skilled, clinically trained facilitator.
Yes. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to get started. We'll talk about your situation, whether psilocybin facilitation is a good fit, and what the process looks like.
I am a licensed professional counselor with a PhD in counselor education and over a decade of clinical experience — not just a facilitator who completed a training course. I specialize in the psychological dimensions of major life transitions, which means I bring genuine therapeutic depth to preparation and integration. I also specialize in women's mental health, which means I understand the specific landscape you are navigating. And as host of The Psychedelic Skeptic podcast, I am honest about what psilocybin can and cannot do — I will not overpromise.
No. Psilocybin is not appropriate for everyone. There are specific contraindications — including personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia spectrum disorders, certain medications (especially lithium), and other factors. The screening process in preparation is thorough and honest. I will tell you clearly if I believe this is not the right fit for you.
