Fluence is accredited by HECC!

Are you interested in becoming a psilocybin facilitator in Oregon under Prop 109?

Well, Fluence a continuing education training program has now received the go-ahead from HECC to begin minting psilocybin facilitators in Oregon. I worked with Dr. Nielson and the rest of the Fluence team to submit their HECC application process. If you haven’t been following this story, to become a licensed facilitator training program in Oregon, a school needs to be accredited both by OHA and by the HECC (Higher Education Coordinating Commission).

The HECC accreditation process is much more involved and requires programs to think through their overall curriculum and assessment strategy. Even though psychedelic facilitation training programs are brand new, I have quite a bit of experience with curriculum accreditation through my work as a counselor educator on CACREP accreditation. (I’ve been doing it for at least a decade!) Fluence reached out to me back in late July and we were able to submit their 9-step application in under two weeks. HECC took a few months to evaluate the application but approved the curriculum in October.

Having been involved in the accreditation process, I can say with confidence that Fluence has developed a fantastic training program. If I lived in Oregon, I would definitely do it!
